Bye Bye Baby

So soon it’s all happened again, with the passing of my mother and the Inheritance side I have decided to upgrade to the latest version of the Africa Twin, so I have placed my order for a 2023 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports with Electronic Suspension with the Duel Clutch Transmission. With that now ordered and not due until end of Jan I decided to sell my current 2017 Africa Twin so that I do not lose to much money from it as it is just a couple of thousand miles away from it big service with value checks. So …

As some of you may know that recently my mother pass which has forced me to stop all reviews and updates for the foreseeable future as I help sort out some of the legal sides that are needed. In the mean time if you wish for me to do a review on a product please do contact me still.

Russ Motorcycle Tire’s

Huge thanks to Jack over at Russ Motorcycle Tyres for sorting us out with my new Continental Trail Attack 3 tyres for my Africa Twin. As they were specially ordered in for me I just needed to wait a couple of days, and was told they would call me Friday once they arrived in and then I could head over to be fitted The current Bridgestones are known to be crap and recommended by the AT community as replace asap (Which i am doing even thou they did have fair amount of tread left). Anyways after getting a call Friday …

ScrewFix Oil Pan

Screw Fix (Hilka) Oil Pan. Simple and basic requirement for own servicing is a way to drain your oil cleanly and tidily and that’s using some kinda of bowl, pan to drain the oil into. I used to use an old oil container and cut one of the sides down so that it allowed a large hole to drain into, but needing more than the old sized 4 litre bottle I then decided to purchase a dedicated oil pan and wanting to wait as I wanted to do the service on my bike I wanted something I could collect today, …

HeadLamp Protectors

Clear acrylic head lamp protectors Simple but effective way to protect your head lamps on your bike, for mine its £400+ to replace the unit due to the lens can not be removed, and with the stories of stone hitting them and cracking the lens its a relative cheap way to protect them.  All the are is a 2-3mm plastic lens that sticks on with some velcro pads and then protect your main lamp unit from knocks and hits, while the lens itself is really great quality the use of velcro was just madness for visuals and made the whole …

Spoke Protectors

Universal Spoke Protectors Simple but effective solution to them untidy or rusty spokes on your bike is the plastic basic £3 spoke protectors that come in packs of 72 and you cut to size.  They are just a elegant way to enhance the wheels on Adventure Bikes for sure, yep it is a each to there own solution but for me its one that works so well and helps keep things looking good too. They do take a little time to install, a couple of hours from start to finish, that included cleaning the wheels spokes and cutting then fitting …

Ermax Touring Screen

Ermax Touring Screen for Africa Twin CRF1000 The stock screen on the Africa Twin is rather small and once you hit a decent speed (which is to easy lol) the screen really does not help, which lead me onto needing to buy a new screen to help with some protection from the wind and rain, but also went for a light tinted one to help match better with the bike. Now there are so many decent screen and pricing really does range from £60 +, I was very keen on the Givi Air Flow system which is the one I …

Bye Bye Baby

The time has come to say good bye to my beloved VStrom 🙁 and I have now put her up for sale. This means for now that I will not be performing any new reviews for a short time while I await the sale of Toothless and then until I am able to purchase my newer bike. It will be a shame to see her go but she has done me so well with never having any issues and being such a reliable bike. I hope my new one will be just as good. The only reason I am selling …

MadCow / UC Wheel Cleaner

MadCow / UC Cleaning Products – Acid Free Wheel Cleaner. I brought these from Madcap via their eBay sales page on an auction, so ended up a good deal, especially for 4 different products. First being tested is the Wheel Cleaner, which is an acid free version. I used many items to clean my wheels, with the back one being always the worst due to not only brake dust & dirt but the good old chain oil which is never a fun job. Normally I used quick and easy chemicals like Holts which is safe to use around brakes, also Paraffin …
