4D Licence Plate

4D Licence Plate from The Plate Gram.

I have been looking for a while (Since owning the Vstrom) to replace my stock Licence plate that was branded heavily by the shop I purchased it from. I do prefer a clean simple non spammed plate.

Now there are many places you can get plates from, most are show plates, which are not legal, and I did not want to head that route, so looking for legal stamp BASU plates I found a fair few 3D gel style ones but pricing wise was around £40+, and I then spotted the newer 4D plates which is what I ended up going for. The newer 4D plates (that they seem to be called) are more professional I feel than the gel style 3D ones or bubble 3D ones, but as normal pricing did go up when searching for these newer 4D ones (£50+).

What got me at the time is that I could easily get a pair of car plates for the same money, but to get one plate for my bike was just as much, but I was told by one place it due to they don’t bulk order the stock motorcycle sized plate so costs go up for special orders, so hoping as more people do order the pricing may change.

Anyways after weeks of searching back and forth I came across ANPR who had plates for £20 (£25 posted) but they looked again like show plates, but then I spotted a little black part on one of their photos and once I zoomed in I spotted it was showing their site, postcode and BASU number which from my understanding is what is required to be fully legal.

After some quick com’s back and forth I placed my order with them as I was shocked at their prices, and the next day they sent a pic of my plate all made up. The day after I had the plate delivered to my address 🙂 Needless to say I was shocked how quick at their turnaround on orders.

The plate was not pre drilled, which I guessed would be so you can fit it and match were its going. So a couple of holes drilled later I had my new plate installed and looking damn sexy (in my view).

Since having the plate I had a fair few comments from other bikers, and passed on to them who made them and the amazing price they offered.

So in reflection to my order I can will give a 10/10 on my dealing with ANPR. The plate is amazing and looks well made. The only one thing I will say that negative and it’s nothing to do with the company, but as its a raised plate it’s now harder to clean lol and you all know how I love a clean bike.

Since I have had my plate made they have added a fair few new laser cut items like house plates, keyrings and more.
