Quadlock Damper

Quadlock Motorcycle Vibration Damper

I purchased many Quadlock items before, from cases to mounts, to power systems and wireless chargers, spent hundreds with them but there weakest point is all this gear uses bolts to make sure your £1500 phone stays in place, well that is apart from when you add the vibration damper to the setup and we all know this is a MUST have if you want to use your camera again on your phone.

The issue is their Vibration Damper is a waste of time, its head together with 3 rubber mounts that help with the vibration, and then 3 clips that stop it from coming apart. This does not stand up to normal road use.

3 Times now i have had this unit fail from normal riding on a bike that can handle off road use and has electronic suspension that adjusts. After finally catching this happen on video (check out my video of the failing item happening) I finally contact QL to see what going on and why this happens. They could not help much and even with the video showing that its cracked another of my screen protectors that i brought from them (now 3 have cracked due to the failing of this item) they come back with a replacement damper, but offered a credit on the screen protectors side, which i was happy with as i have spent out at least £50 extra on replacement ones due to this failing now, and when i goto use this magic code offered I get all of a £2.39 discount on my order lol, Needless to say it does not even cover one protector of theres let along the 3 that i needed to replace.

One to Avoid, its makes the whole system a waste of time as its a needed part but the part it such a massive fail and for the cost of as setup for Quadlock it is not worth the cost of the potential damage to your phone from using it with or without this damper. 0 out of 10, the very first item i have had to give a negative review on.

  1. Update – Quadlock has contacted me in light of this and has sent through a updated damper which is listed as a V2 as well as a replacement screen protector for the one that got damaged during the failure of the first system.

I have fitted the new damper and will be testing it over the next few months in hope it holds up.
