4D Number Plate

4D Motorcycle Number Plate from NomPlates – A Solid Addition for Your Ride

Alright guys, fellow bikers, I just recently brought a new 4D number plate. And I must say, this is one of the slickest mods to date for styling that I have made to my bike. If you are a rider like me, you know how important it is to keep your machine looking razor-sharp and striking, and this plate does just deliver on that count. I brought the plate from NomPlates who make a full range of different style plates for cars and bikes and now shaped plates, Yep thats right, a shaped plate that still road legal :O Banging ah 😛

First Impressions:

When you first unpack the 4D plate, the sharpness of the raised lettering really hits you. Imagine 3D gel plates blown out of the water-these have a level of depth and clarity like that. For most, the 3D bubble style had been the go-to, but now it’s time for these 4D plates to bring in some extra edge with their professional and durable build. And yes, it’s still road legal as said, his words, which is a must if you don’t want to be running afoul of the fuzz-meaning it has to include all the necessary postcodes and BASU stamps directly onto the plate itself to make it 100% street legal here in the UK. This isn’t some quick fix slapped together with cheap stickers. No corners cut here-just pure quality for a very reasonable £45.

Installation:

Plate arrived quick, but like most after market plates wasn’t pre-drilled. You just have to mark and drill it yourself to get the fit just right on your specific bike, or like me, I used some 3M double-sided tape; it takes just minutes to install this way. Then it was, “Wow, did it transform the rear end of my bike.”. I love the 4D style, but the new shape and that UK flag-for if I go abroad again-just really make that booty look so sharp and sexy.

On The Road:

Since I’ve been riding around with this bad boy, I’ve already gotten quite a few compliments from fellow bikers. That’s the kind of mod that looks pretty subtle from afar but stands out when you’re up close. Cleans up the bike and gives it a more modern look without being too on your face. The raised letters add that ‘premium’ feel and look to the bike.

Just one thing to consider: due to the raised design, this plate does tend to gather a smidge more dirt than your average, flat plate. Be ready for a little extra in the elbow grease department if you’re like me and won’t have a speck of dirt on that bike. It is a very minor trade-off considering what this plate brings to a ride.

Final Thoughts:

Sleek, cheap, completely legal-what more can you ask from a number plate? If you are out to give your bike a bit of an aesthetic upgrade, then this plate is a complete no-brainer. Just be prepared for some extra work cleaning, but trust me, it’s worth it. Highly recommended to any biker who values both style and adherence to the rules of the road. Cheers, and ride safe!

Legality Sides More :

As said, this plate is fully road legal; that is what I have been told from the company, and I do trust them, but let’s be honest, until the old bill pull me over and comment, I am never 100% sure, so check for yourself to be safe. I’ll be carrying my old plate just in case so that if needed, upon request, I can swap over.
