RST Tractech 2101 Evo 3 Sport Boots.
I am not one for dedicated gear/clothing normally but with work as a motorcycle CBT trainee instructor now I felt it was time to up my game and get with the gear more on clothing. I do have a set of dedicated winter boots being fully waterproof, and with summer being here and my current boots are just not breathable I have decided to purchase a new pair, and as one does one searches which ends up with thousands off adverts popping up on websites now all boot related. This time though it worked out for me as I spotted some really great looking ones from RST called “Tractech 2101 Evo 3 Sport Boots”.
They were an amazing price for such a high end style and with the full CE protection as well as being from there Track-line production line I expected at least another half more in price, so I did some online reviews and yep they came back with pretty much all the needed protection as well as recommended for comfort and cooling which was an area I really needed being in them for sometimes 12 hours a day. So I head down to my local shop and tested them on.
First impressions were amazing, really comfy and very well made with loads of protection as others had said, I first tried a UK 9 which is my standard shoe size, but I had no hope of getting them on, so I went for a UK 10 (44EU) and again tight and if I wanted thick stocks if I used them in winter they again wouldn’t fit, so I ended up having to go with an UK 11 (45EU) size which worked great…..
Now I have been using these for a good couple of weeks now and I can say I am really impressed how well they have been for me. The ventilation is amazing, after a weekend ride over 300 miles they still remain cool and my feel felt still dry, then the following day at work in them all day I still remained the same, and thats with a good few hours standing in them. Over time they will soften up which will help with day to day use, as always with new boots changing gear and braking is somewhat different and takes time to adjust but these feel great still, and as above they will only feel better when less rigid, the soles on them are outstanding and when standing up on my pegs to stretch my legs I can’t even feel the pegs unlike my older boots I use for winter time.
I got to say the styling of the boots are really good, they look the part as well as work the part so unable to fault them there, in fact I can only give it one down side so far and that is they do squeak when walking, but that I am again putting down to being new. Once worn in they should stop.
So would I recommend these to friends, Hell yes, one of the better, if not the best boots I ever had, and for the price tag of £130 in most places its a steal. There that good I was tempted to buy a second pair as spares in case I ever wore these out. I totally would recommend these to anyone and a full 5* from me.
