I have gone through a few different types of headset and ways of listening to music or taking phone calls while using my bike, but the blue rider I will say beats them all apart from the high end system like Cardo, or Sena.
First finding a system that can work with IOS and Siri is hard, let alone under £200 is every more harder, and with the laws being so strict on using mobile phones while riding having a headset that’s full compatible with Siri for me is a must. Touching the phone while on your bike is an automatic 6 points on your licence and a min of £200 fine. This makes the need for a headset to be able to say open an app, or ask directions or just the basic “Read messages” and then being able to reply back without the need to touch your handset a must in my view. Let alone for me having music on the go.
Back to the M1-s, this comes with everything you need to connect to your crash helmet, 2 different microphone system, one for full face and one for open face helmets. All the wiring and a pair of great quality speakers. These speaker give some amazing sounds quality, and really make all the difference when listening to music or taking a phone call. I listened and tried some well known system (Sena) and these I will say sound wise are close to that, and at a quarter of the price makes the unit one real amazing deal. You even can update these via online download of the software for new and improvements as and when they come out.
Overall for the price I really can only say buy it, you are getting a lot for your buck here. Yes if you want to say connect and pair to other units not Bluerider then that’s where this let you down. I have had them pair with a SENA systems and they work really well, they start losing about 50 mph due to wind, or in my case the exhaust note on my bike over powers the headset, but the SENA system need to start the pairing, the M1-s seem to have issues on pairing or start the pairing. So if you’re not planning on using this way then yes buy now and you will be so happy you saved a bucket load of cash compared to the high end ones.
