I do love a set of spot lights, but with having a new bike thats still in warranty means there are only the Honda own or after market ones which could end up invalidating your warranty depending on how they are installed, and thats something I do not want to happen. So the option around this is using the Ezcan system which plugs into the stock wiring harness and allows you to control, add and adjust your extra items with the use of the stock controls on the bike.
I had this installed while my bike was in for its 1st main service (8k) and had also my spotlights, camera system and other things wiring on to it. The Hex ezcan allows spotlights to be plugged into a new harness from it but then allows that spot light to be modified how you want to use it. So for example I can have my light dim down (by a %) at night, or flash or strobe when I use my horn, or even turn off when I use my indicators (so they do not wash then out as they are bright).
All this and more is controlled by either plugging you unit into a computer or laptop and access all the in built modes and settings, as well as a fuse protection side too. It goes on and on and on some more. I can even now switch my lights off without the need of any additional switches, I can just use my stock Honda’s own switches to turn of one set of spots, or even my second set, I can reduce the brightness of one set by 10% on the fly, allowing me to customise how i want my light to perform, even have it dim automatically when its night time so that they are not blinding other users.
As well as being used for my lights, I have also have it powering my Camera system, so when i power my bike my front and back cameras power up and start recording saving me having to keep doing it manually, and as above the list does go on.
Bang for buck this system is a worthy upgrade to any bike that has a CAN-bus and you want to benefit with addition easy extra to your bike without needing to add additional switches or looms, add a heated seat, USB power, GPS, rear tail light, all fused independently too might I add.
100% recommend this to any biker who just wants an easy way to install more to your bike, specially for new bikes too so warranty remains intact. 10/10 without any question.
