Muc-Off foam fresh helmet cleaner.
I brought this a while ago and did not get round to using it much until the summer time kicked in, but like so many of the products I buy they don’t aways reach the length of getting reviewed for the site, but with the summer over and preparing for the winter this came back out, and its back in use to clean and sanitise my biking gear for storage.
This stuff is simple to use and what makes it effective is its price (Under £10) and it can be used on a few different items of your biking gear like helmet liners, gloves, boots and so on, items that generally are not the easiest to get cleaned, and that’s is why I wanted something that could like this.
I have reviewed a few Muc-Off products but I will say this is the best one so far for just how well it works, and simplistic use of it. It really a case of shaking the can for a couple of minutes and then (lie shaving foam) squirting it into your helmet and making sure the Thick Citrus Foam covers the fabric liner, the same goes for inside your gloves and the same for your boots. A good squirt of this until its all over and in your items and then sit back and leave it to do its job. Within a few minutes it starts to fizz away leaving your fabric lightly damp and then that’s where you grab a clean microfibre cloth and rub your item (Helmet liner, Glove, Boots) down removing any dirt and grime and sweat from your kit. Once you done this use another clean cloth to clean up any left over marks, for stubborn marks or sweat stains just repeat the process once again, and it will pretty much remove all stubborn stains I have found.
The great thing is that it takes just a few minutes to freshen up your gear which is great for them unplanned moments of cleaning or if you just want to freshen your kit as it makes your gear smells SO citrusy good.
