RiderScan parabolic safety mirror.
I brought this a fair while ago and was something I used on my scooter (Honda Forza 125cc) for a way to cover my blind spots more.
The RiderScan is a parabolic mirror that is mounted to the centre front of a motorcycle/scooter, this then allows you to cover them blind spot without even having to take your eyes off what is in front of you. As you glance to the RiderScan everything in front of you remains in your peripheral vision, the horizontal curve gives the rider 180 degrees horizontal coverage while the vertical curve gives a great covering view.
It does takes a little while to get used to it, specially seeing yourself in it at all times, but once you are used to it really does help see what’s coming up on you, specially them pesky pushbikes from the inside, but don’t treat this as a way to forget them shoulder checks and life savers thou.
Fitting this s really simple and requires a clean of the area you plan to mount it and then taking the stocky cover off the pads and placing it directly in front of you on your screen, then adjusting the angle to get the best view. The pricing is around £30 for the unit, and it is a worthy item to own and specially for newer riders as it can help a lot when you are focusing on forward views.
